Overview

Chinmaya Vidyalaya is situated in the lap of Shivalik Hills in Solan in the state of Himachal Pradesh (2 hours drive from Chandigarh airport). It is one of the most prestigious International Boarding Schools in India, spread over scenic 11 acres in the valley of Nauni. The pollution free atmosphere, peaceful surroundings and rich flora and fauna are ideal for child’s early years of life. It is an English medium, CBSE affiliated, Senior secondary, Co-educational (for both boys and girls) boarding school.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya is based on the foundation of Chinmaya Mission which was founded for the teaching of Vedanta philosophy. Along with the CBSE curriculum, our objective is to impart Vedic wisdom in the children that helps them understand the significance of leading a balanced life with respect to their studies, food, health, work and family.

At our school we promote a healthy mix of diverse ethnicities and nationalities. We have students from all over the globe who believe in the ancient mind training combined with modern techniques of teaching. Having a mix of students from around the world helps groom our students into global citizens.

Chinmaya Mission was an inspiring initiative taken by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda in 1951 to continue his legacy on to spreading the Vedantic message of peace and happiness to the modern world. Swami ji worked in this direction for over four decades as a great ascetic of contemporary India. The mission today has 77 Chinmaya Vidyalayas and 8 Chinmaya Colleges that ensure education with a difference. All of these institutions operate as per the remarkably formed Chinmaya Vision Program, which includes a comprehensive academic structure. The idea behind this education program is to let the children face true vision of life and to further prepare them to face every challenge with a positive and dynamic outlook. It includes enhancing every side of their personalities, be it physical, mental, intellectual or spiritual. Through this profound educational program, the mission promotes good health, proper growth and emotional balance among children along with letting them discover divinity they have within them. Making its way forward with such an exceptional vision, the Chinmaya Institutions have educated over a million students in last 40 years.
