The hospital, formerly known as North Bengal Clinic, was set up in 1976 with the motto of delivering quality healthcare services at an affordable cost. In November 2007, the Clinic was taken over by a leading eastern India-based healthcare chain, Medica Synergie Pvt. Ltd., and re-named as Medica North Bengal Clinic. Today, MNBC is a 140-bed hospital providing healthcare facilities across all major specialities, including Paediatrics, Gynaecology, General/Internal Medicine, Urology, Neurosurgery and Orthopaedics, among others.
